To ensure a safe environment for your baby's arrival, nurses will suggest modifications to correct any identified safety hazards.
Postpartum Newborn Care
Wound care following delivery: Your nurse will inspect and advise on proper wound management, recomming infection control or other treatments as required by your doctor.
Routine newborn checks including weight monitoring, skin color assessment, temperature regulation, heart rate, and lung function.
If ordered by a healthcare provider, blood tests to assess for jaundice can be conducted at home.
